My wife and I both read very extensively and started with Sony eReaders. Now that both the Sony eReader store has closed and our Sony eReaders became old and died, we are using the Kobo store and new Kobo Aura eReaders. We both use the same Kobo account and many times are reading the same book at the same time. The account seems to want to keep track of the page that was last read by either of us and wants to start the book at the other person’s page. We have also noticed for example when I mark a book as finished on my reader and my wife is reading it on her reader, it goes back to a “reading” status on my reader.

Is there a way for us to use a single account to buy books and still keep them separate on our two readers? And going to the next step, we each have iPhones and would expect to be able to sync our readers to our iPhones, also, without crossing between what I am reading and what my wife is reading. Can this be done?

Also, we have discovered how to set a bookmark, but don’t know how to go to bookmarks. Can you tells us how to go to bookmarks we have set?

I would like to order a kobo reader to be shipped to my home address in Toronto. I am currently in the Netherlands, but cannot link to Kobo Canada because of the way your web sites work. I had a discount of $40 but neither my wife or I could circumvent your Netherlands website.

Help! Do you want my order?

  3. Dan De Groote says:

A few years ago my wife purchased 4 Kobo e-readers at the same time at the Chapters bookstore near Square One in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. One for her, one for our son, one for his then fiancee and one for me. The other three are still working fine but mine has gone off. The screen has frozen and we have tried re-booting it but nothing is working. It is unuseable as it is and I am wondering if it would be possible to repair this? In case it is, I would appreciate you letting me know where to send it.
    Looking forward to your reply
